R&S AND LONE ACCUSE BLACK EYED PEAS OF PLAGIARISM ON NEW TRACK

They say the producer’s track ‘Airglow Fires’ has been used without permission…

R&S Records founder Renaat Vandepapeliere has pointed out what he sees as similarities between a new Black Eyed Peas track and Lone’s 2013 track ‘Airglow Fires’.

Taking to Twitter, R&S Records, who released Lone’s track, first pointed to the similarity between the two tunes by posting Black Eyed Peas’ new single with the caption “Sound familiar?” They went on to describe them as “total rip off merchants.”

Lone, real name Matt Cutler – who will release Volume Four of his ‘Ambivert Tools’ EP series on R&S next week – also followed up the label’s accusation with his own tweet, sharing the track alongside the simple line: “black eyed me’s.”

Black Eyed Peas’ track, titled ‘Constant Part 1 & 2’, will feature on their upcoming album Masters of the Sun. You can listen to the two tracks and decide for yourself below.

David Guetta last year announced that he would again be working with Black Eyed Peas on new music. It’s not yet known if he features on production for their new album.
