The Independent Music Cup is back for its fifth year later this month, with 32 teams from across the music industry gearing up to compete to raise money for War Child.

The football tournament, founded and run by Ninja Tune (who will naturally be fielding a team), will see representatives from the likes of Warp Records, NTS, Boiler Room and ourselves here at DJ Mag, amongst many others, battling it out on the pitch all day on Saturday, July 27th.

All teams will be playing with the aim of raising ยฃ10,000 for War Child, who focus on supporting children affected by war and conflict. Fundraising for the cup will be specifically directed to the charity’s War Child FC initiative, which uses football to provide support and help give children skills to shape their futures.

It will all take place at Battersea Powerleague and there will be a number of DJs providing entertainment on the day. Boiler Room will also be hosting an afterparty at Tola in Peckham.
