EDC 라스베가스, 공식적으로 2021년까지 연기되다. 주최자들은 2020 년 10 월에 이 페스티벌이 개최되길 바랐다.

EDC 라스베가스는 2020 년에 개최되지 않을 것이라 공식적으로 밝혔다.
원래 5 월 15 일부터 17 일까지 개최될 예정이었던 이 인섬니악(Insomniac) 이벤트는 COVID-19 대유행으로 인해 4 월에 연기되었다 . 그 후 10 월로 날짜가 재조정 되었고, 5 월에는 실제가 아닌 가상의 페스티벌 이 개최되었다. 현재 EDC 라스베가스는 2020 년에 아예 개최되지 않을 것이라 밝혔으며, 대신 25 주년을 맞아 2021 년 5 월에 다시 열릴 것이라 발표했다.
8 월 2 일 일요일, 인섬니악 설립자 파스칼레 로텔라(Pasquale Rotella) 는 2021 년 5 월 21 일부터 23 일까지 라스베가스 모터 스피드웨이에서 EDC 라스베가스 2021 이 개최될 것이라고 발표했다. 로텔라는 올해 페스티벌과 관련해 공식 발표를 연기한 것에 대해 설명하며 페스티벌 주최자들이 “ 지난 몇 달 동안 안전한 페스티벌을 만들 수 있는 계획을 세우는 데 보냈다“ 고 언급했다.
그는 이어 “ 우리는 라스베가스에서 공식 페스티벌을 개최하기 전 집에서 개최되는 무료 페스티벌 테스트 한 번, 그리고 행사장에서 개최되는 페스티벌 무료 테스트 한 번을 시행하고 싶었다. 불행하게도, 우리는 이를 위해 필요한 의학적 발전이 시간내에 준비되지 않을 것이라 판단했고, 따라서 오늘 이 발표를 하게 되었다.”고 덧붙였다.
