음악씬의 아티스트와 프로듀서 모두에게 가장 의미 있는 시상식인 그래미 어워즈(Grammy Awards)는 2021년 1월 31일 로스앤젤레스의 스테이플스 센터(Staples Center)에서 열리며 생중계된다. 어제 레코딩 아카데미(Recording Academy)는 마데온(Madeon), 디플로 앤 사이드피스(Diplo and SIDEPIECE), 디스클로저(Disclosure), 캐이트라나다(KAYTRANADA), 바우어(Baauer) 등을 포함한 2021년 그래미 어워즈 댄스/일렉트로닉 부문의 일렉트로닉 음악 아티스트 후보를 공식 발표했다.

디플로 앤 사이드피스, 디스클로저, 플룸(Flume), 제이다 G(Jayda G), 캐이트리나다가 각자의 곡 ‘On My Mind’, ‘My High’, ‘The Difference’, ‘Both Of Us’, ‘10%’와 함께 ‘베스트 댄스 레코딩’ 상에 도전하며 아르카(Arca)는 ‘KiCK I’, 바우어는 ‘PLANET’S MAD’, 디스클로저는 ‘ENERGY’, 캐이트라나다는 ‘BUBBA’, 마데온은 ‘Good Faith’를 가지고 ‘베스트 댄스/일렉트로닉 앨범’ 상의 영예를 차지하기 위해 경쟁한다.

캐이트라나다는 댄스 음악 부문 외에도 인그리드 안드레스(Ingrid Andress), 피브 브리저스(Phoebe Bridgers), 치카(Chika), 노아 사이러스(Noah Cyrus), D 스모크(D Smoke), 도자 캣(Doja Cat), 메간 티 스탤리온(Megan Thee Stallion)이 함께 후보에 오른 ‘최고의 신인 아티스트’ 타이트를 놓고 경쟁한다.
