Black Coffee, Questlove and RÜFÜS DU SOL were among the big winners at 2022’s Grammy Awards, which took place last night (Sunday, 3rd April) in Las Vegas.

Black Coffee picked up the award for Best Dance/Electronic Album, for his 2021 record ‘Subconsciously’, seeing off competition from Major Lazer, Marshmello and more. The nomination in the category marked Black Coffee’s first ever nod in a Grammys shortlist.

RÜFÜS DU SOL, meanwhile, were named winners of the Best Dance/Electronic Recording category, for their track ‘Alive’, from 2021 album ‘Surrender’. The win also marked their first ever Grammy, though they had been nominated twice before. They beat the likes of James Blake, Caribou and David Guetta to take the award home.

“What a journey!” the group wrote in an Instagram post after the win. “Thank you to every single one of you who has supported us and believed in us along the way. We’re just getting started.”

Questlove, fresh from picking up an Oscar last week for his documentary ‘Summer Of Soul’, was named winner in the Best Music Film category for the same film. He saw off competition from films by or about Billie Eilish, David Byrne and others to win the award.

This year’s Grammys were the 64th edition of the annual award ceremony.
